Background & Purpose
This project was created to meet the needs of scientific publications and competitions. We succeeded in publishing a scientific paper (can be seen HERE) regarding the SPACE project and won 1st place in the IT Competition Apps Design Festival HIMATIF Indramayu Polytechnic.
This project creates a mobile application integrated with an intelligent system to be implemented on campus during the new normal period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Problem
During the new normal transition period after the COVID-19 pandemic, campuses are starting to hold face-to-face education again, where there is the potential for the COVID-19 virus to spread again locally, so various preventive steps must be taken to be able to adapt to safe face-to-face lectures again.
User Research
The method chosen for this project is field studies, in which we observe field conditions on the UIN SGD Bandung campus to understand the problem and find the exact solutions.
Me and my team also conducted literature studies and found 14 references from trusted journals and books to look for relevant data.
Sitemap
The user research results were then formulated into a Sitemap, which described that this application requires ten features: Home, Notifications, Profile, Check In, Smart Class, Facilities, Health Service, COVID-19 Tracking, Chat Us, and Settings.
The features selected are features that users need to be able to go through the transition period to face-to-face lectures with minimal physical contact and avoiding crowds.
The Sitemap can be seen HERE.
Due to resource efficiency, this SPACE project skips the wireframing stage and goes straight to Hi-Fi & Prototype creation, where a minimum of 25 application screens are created.
The green color palette was chosen because it represents calm, reliability, and hope for safely and comfortably surviving the COVID-19 transition.
The Prototype can be seen HERE.
